# Senior Acoustic Consultant## The purpose of this role is to provide vital support to the success of the acoustics team to deliver our clients projects. We have a number a growing number of exciting projects in the pipeline and are looking to recruit a senior acoustic consultant who can hit the ground running. **Key Duties:**Your day to day responsibilities will be extremely varied and diverse, however your primary focus areas will include the following: Project Delivery* Work within agreed budgets and profit targets, raising and/or resolving any concerns that arise.* As part of the project team, provide input on design competitions and bids.* Draft fee proposals for projects and additional work.* Autonomously represent Buro Happold to clients, architects and collaborators.* Ensure all work completed is reviewed appropriately. Review the work of others as assigned to you.* Understanding the Client acoustic requirements and producing a Client brief. Leadership* Develop an internal and external profile through networking, in order to participate in bidding and work winning of projects.* Deliver excellent performance in all areas of the role.* Lead the design, analysis and consultancy on a wide variety of projects as guided by the relevant project leader.* Mentor and support more junior team members, helping them develop their careers. Collaboration * Interface with other areas of the firm through project work.* Work as part of a single or multi-disciplinary team attending and chairing meetings with architects, planners, contractors, government agencies etc. in an advisory capacity. Technical competence * Propose multiple solutions to challenges, being able to articulate the benefits and shortfalls of each to the client, taking into consideration other disciplines requirements within these solutions.* Produce insightful reports, presentations, models and drawings as requested by the client to an excellent technical standard, high level of accuracy and in a timely manner.* Be familiar and comply with all Buro Happold’s internal quality assurance procedures.* Ensure maintenance of ongoing learning and Continuing Professional Development (CPD).* Maintain market knowledge of industry-leading technologies* Ongoing development of our design tools, including Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper and Dynamo**Your skills and experience:*** Degree level education* Working toward Professional Accreditation of a recognised and relevant organisation* Proven experience in a comparable role* Strong team player capability, with potential to line manage more junior team members* Effective communication capability* Understanding of relevant policy and regulation**What we offer you:*** Hybrid working arrangements.* Attractive salary and benefits package including life assurance and income protection.* Holiday entitlement of 25 days per annum (exclusive of bank holidays) and flexible holiday arrangements.* Generous company pension scheme.* Individual private medical insurance.* Flexible benefits including cycle scheme, dental insurance, optical cover, travel insurance, season ticket loans, and corporate discounts* Enhanced parenthood leave policies* 3pm finish on the last Friday of the month* A strong commitment to your continuous development.
