Lead the UK Accounts Payable Function with Confidence and Impact in a High-Responsibility, Business-Critical role.
As the
Senior Accounts Payable Specialist , you’ll take ownership of the end-to-end AP process for the entire UK business, playing a pivotal role in managing payments totalling nearly £100 million annually across approximately 40,000 invoices. This is a high-impact position where you’ll be the primary point of contact for all Accounts Payable-related matters, ensuring that payment runs are executed accurately and on time, and that internal and external stakeholders receive a first-class service.You’ll oversee the performance of our offshore service provider and your ability to build strong relationships, manage expectations, and maintain rigorous process discipline will be key to your success. The role offers significant exposure across the UK business and the opportunity to contribute to future finance transformation projects.This is a hands-on, fast-paced role that requires a confident and proactive leader who thrives on responsibility. You’ll be working closely with colleagues across departments, resolving complex queries, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring the integrity of reconciliations and reporting. With occasional travel to our London office, this role offers flexibility to work from your home. Senior AP Experience – Previously held a senior position within Accounts Payable, demonstrating strong operational knowledge.Process Ownership – Proven ability to manage end-to-end AP processes across multiple entities with high volumes of transactions.Stakeholder Management – Confident in managing expectations and building relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.System Proficiency – Familiarity with SAP and Coupa systems; experience with Concur is a plus.Supplier Relationship Management – Ability to maintain and nurture supplier relationships, including handling sensitive or challenging situations.Analytical Thinking – Strong skills in reconciliation, problem-solving, and resolving discrepancies across vendor and balance sheet accounts.Communication Skills – Excellent verbal and written communication across all channels, with the ability to resolve complex queries effectively.Attention to Detail – High level of accuracy in processing payments, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with internal controls.Self-Motivation – Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and drive continuous improvement in AP processes.What we’ll give you for this role:
