Sheridan Maine is partnering with a well-established and growing business to recruit a Senior Accounts Payable Assistant / Purchase Ledger Assistant to join their Finance team based in Christchurch offering a hybrid working model. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable professional to take on a key role within a busy and supportive finance function.About the roleThis Senior Accounts Payable Assistant position will take responsibility for a broad range of end-to-end purchase ledger and accounts payable duties, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and payments.Key responsibilities include:Processing high volumes of supplier invoices and credit notes, ensuring accurate matching to purchase ordersCoding, posting and entering invoicesManaging supplier queries and resolving discrepancies relating to pricing, quantities and invoice issuesLiaising with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure smooth Accounts Payable operationsProcessing a variety of payment runsPerforming supplier statement reconciliations and investigating outstanding itemsSupporting month-end and year-end close processes within the finance teamSupporting junior Accounts Payable / Purchase Ledger team members where requiredAbout youTo be successful in this Accounts Payable / Purchase Ledger role, you will have:Previous experience in an Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger or Finance Assistant roleStrong understanding of end-to-end AP processes ..... full job details .....
