Senior Accountant/FC

Senior Accountant/Financial Controller Our client, an SME based near Hertford, is looking for a Senior Accountant to step in and assist the Finance Director in running the finance team. The role has 2 direct reports and you will be responsible for supporting the financial management, reporting and commercial decision-making of the business. Key responsibilities of the role will include: • Ownership of management accounts, budgeting and forecasting processes • Production of accurate, timely financial reporting to support commercial decision-making • Building financial models and analysis in Excel • Identifying financial and operational risks within the business • Assisting with strategic and commercial projects • Liaising with budget holders and non-finance stakeholders across the business • Continually reviewing and improving financial processes and controls The ideal candidate will be qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA and have experience of reporting into a 1st in finance and assisting to manage the finance function. You will have a career history that demonstrates clear ownership, measurable achievement and progression in relevant finance roles. Excellent Excel skills are essential which must include the ability to build, audit and interrogate complex models and analysis. Experience of managing and developing staff is preferred as this is an important aspect of the role. The role is fully office based.
