Senior Accountant

An exciting position has become available within a well-established small accountancy practice for an experienced Senior Accountant/Manager. Involved in ''leading from the front'', you will have a hands-on role, and be expected to focus on customer retention and business development within the office and the wider network, whilst proactively seeking potential opportunities to build and strengthen the client base and client offerings along with a willingness to undertake assignments when necessary.The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday.The role is office based in Welwyn Garden City.Role RequirementsMinimum 2 or 3 years of post-qualified experience in a practice environment.Ideally a qualified accountant (AAT, ACCA, ACA, CIMA will be considered for those with recent accountancy practice experience preferred but not essential). Qualification by experience will be considered.Previous managerial or supervisory experience would be useful for this positionPlanning, undertaking, supervising, and reviewing assignmentsExcellent and up to date technical accounting and tax skillsExcellent communicator with good verbal and written English skills. With the ability to display the interpersonal skills to interact with a varied client portfolioA focus on customer care and customer retention.Work closely with the owner and the management skills to mentor and supervise a growing and developing teamOrganised and proactive with good attention to detail.Experience with Quickbooks, ..... full job details .....
