Senior Accountant Location: Wickford, EssexSalary: £40,000 - £45,000 DOEJob Type: Full-Time, PermanentOffice Based The Opportunity A forward-thinking and growing accountancy practice based in Wickford is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its established team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or qualified-by-experience accountant looking to take ownership of a varied client portfolio while supporting junior team members and building strong client relationships. Working closely with the Partners, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality accounting and advisory services to a diverse range of SMEs, sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. Key Responsibilities Managing a portfolio of clients across a range of sectors. Preparing and reviewing year-end statutory accounts. Preparing and reviewing corporation tax returns. Overseeing VAT returns and bookkeeping assignments. Preparing management accounts and financial reports. Acting as the main point of contact for client queries. Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team. Building and maintaining strong client relationships. Identifying opportunities to add value and provide additional services. Ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines. About You ACA, ACCA qualified or qualified by experience. Previous experience working within an accountancy practice.
