Senior Accountant needed ASAP

Reed Finance are currently partnering with an established SME in North Oxfordshire who are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join the business on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract, with the role becoming permanent after this period. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in managing the finance function and supporting the wider business through a period of growth and development. This is a broad, hands-on position that requires a technically strong accountant who is comfortable operating across both transactional and strategic finance activities within a multi-entity group environment. Key Responsibilities Preparation of consolidated financial statements across multiple legal entities Production of quarterly management accounts in a timely manner Ownership of fixed assets Preparation and submission of VAT returns Payroll processing for around 30 employees Oversight of day-to-day transactional finance activities Development and enhancement of financial reporting processes, controls and management information Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management Monitoring actual performance against budgets and analysing variances Working closely with operational stakeholders to improve financial visibility and profitability Supporting business planning, investment initiatives and commercial decision-making Business partnering with managers across the organisation to provide financial insight and challenge Liaising with external ..... full job details .....
