Senior Accountant

Marc Daniels are looking to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant for an established, growing technology business in central Brighton.The roleThis is a hands-on financial accounting role reporting to the Head of Finance. You''ll own month-end, the statutory accounts and tax. The role gives you clear progression routes and good exposure to the leadership team.What you''ll be doingOwning the month-end close and producing accurate, timely monthly management accountsPreparing the year-end statutory accountsPreparing tax returns, including VATMaking sure the business stays on top of VAT and statutory complianceMaintaining the fixed and intangible asset registersRunning the annual audit and acting as the main contact for the external auditorsSupporting the Head of Finance with budgeting and forecastingManaging and forecasting cash flowReviewing finance processes and controls and driving improvementsWorking closely with the wider finance team and stakeholders across the businessDesirablesACCA or ICAEW (ACA) qualifiedTwo or more years of post-qualification experienceStrong financial accounting and technical ability, with a solid grasp of financial controlsExperience owning month-end and preparing statutory accountsExposure to tax returns and auditConfident working on your own initiativeA process improvement mindsetAble to be in the Brighton office three days a ..... full job details .....
