Senior Accountant

An established professional services business is seeking an experienced and hands-on Accountant to provide additional support during a busy finance period, with a particular focus on audit preparation, reconciliations and wider finance operations.This is a broad and varied role suited to somebody who can quickly adapt to a new environment, work independently and support multiple finance priorities simultaneously.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport preparation for the external audit processCoordinate audit requests and supporting documentationPrepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variancesAssist with month-end close activitiesPrepare journals, accruals and prepaymentsSupport financial controls and process documentationAssist with reporting and ad hoc financial analysisWork closely with stakeholders across the businessSupport ongoing finance improvement projectsCandidate ProfileACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified or strong QBE backgroundPrevious experience supporting year-end audit activityStrong balance sheet reconciliation experienceStrong Excel capability including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP and data analysisHands-on and proactive approachAble to work independently and quickly understand processesStrong organisational and communication skillsExperience within professional services environments ..... full job details .....
