Senior Accountant

To support ongoing business development, I am seeking a technically minded Senior Accountant to join the finance team. As a Senior Accountant, you will take ownership of core accounting processes and play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting. Working closely with the CFO, you will be instrumental in shaping the finance function as the business evolves, while supporting strategic decision-making with robust financial insight.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsManage general ledger activity including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entriesEnsure compliance with UK GAAP, internal controls, and regulatory requirementsCoordinate audits and provide necessary documentation to external auditorsSupport the budgeting and forecasting cycles, including variance and trend analysisDrive process improvements to streamline accounting operations and reportingManage and oversee payment runs and cash flow processesProvide ad-hoc financial analysis and support for strategic initiativesCandidate ..... full job details .....
