Senior Accountant Financial Reporting

Base pay rangeHybrid Working - 4 Days InUp to 80k + BenefitsPlease Only Apply If You Have The Following:ACA Qualified (Not ACCA Or CIMA)Experience working in a BANK and AUDITThis role sits within the financial reporting team, which is responsible for external reporting and technical accounting. The team is expanding to meet the increasingly complex demands from accounting standard setters, regulators, and other stakeholders.As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering statutory financial reporting requirements at a group level. Key responsibilities include:Preparing and reviewing group consolidated annual statutory accounts and coordinating with external auditorsPreparing and reviewing key disclosure notes, particularly around financial instrumentsActing as a key contact and driver of the external audit processLiaising with Investor Relations, Risk, and other finance teamsSupporting periodic reporting requirements for regulators and other internal/external stakeholdersPreparing balance sheet analysis to support quarterly financial returns, including investigating and documenting variancesDeveloping and delivering technical training sessions to improve data quality and financial statement disclosuresContributing to the implementation of new accounting standards, financial reporting requirements, and automation initiativesReviewing and challenging monthly general ledger entries to ensure integrity of group reportingPlaying an active role in transformation projects such as ledger upgrades, substantiation automation, and data initiativesResponding to ad hoc requests as requiredWhat we are looking for

Qualified accountant with in-depth knowledge and experience in financial reportingStrong technical understanding of IFRS and consolidationsExperience delivering training and knowledge sharingFamiliarity with systems such as JDE and Essbase (beneficial but not essential)Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detailKnowledge of regulatory reporting requirements relevant to the roleSelf-motivated, enthusiastic, and able to work independentlyProven ability to manage projects with multiple stakeholdersTeam player with experience leading teams and/or projectsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience in preparing or reviewing FINREP regulatory reportingSeniority level
