Senior Accountant

About the RoleWe are recruiting a Senior Accountant for a friendly, well-established accountancy practice in the Aylesbury area. This is an autonomous role, ideal for someone with solid practice experience who doesn''t need much hand-holding. You''ll manage your own portfolio of clients, including a good number of sole traders, take ownership of statutory accounts work, and act as a technical point of reference for more junior members of the team.What you''ll be doing- Managing a varied client portfolio autonomously, including a number of sole traders- Taking ownership of statutory accounts preparation to a high standard- Mentoring and supporting junior members of the team- Building strong, lasting relationships with clients- Acting as a technical point of reference within the office- Managing your own time and workload with minimal supervisionWhat you''ll bring- ACA, ACCA, or qualified by experience (QBE)- Around 5 years'' relevant experience gained within an accountancy practice- Solid exposure to statutory accounts- Experience managing sole traders- Experience mentoring or supporting junior staff- A self-starter mentality - comfortable working autonomouslyWhat''s on offer 35,000 - 45,000 depending on experience, plus a genuinely autonomous role, a supportive team environment, and the scope to make the position your own. ..... full job details .....
