Senior Accountant/Assistant Manager Location: Swansea/hybrid Job Type: Full-time Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience About the Role We are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Accountant to join our growing accountancy practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong client relationships, mentoring colleagues, and managing a varied portfolio of SME clients in a fast-paced practice environment. You will take ownership of a diverse client portfolio, providing high-quality accounting and advisory services while acting as a trusted point of contact for clients. Working closely with partners and the wider team, you will also play a key role in supporting and developing junior members of staff. Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of SME clients across a range of industries. Act as the primary day-to-day contact for clients, providing practical advice and responsive support. Prepare and review year-end accounts, management accounts, VAT returns, and other statutory filings. Assist clients with bookkeeping, cloud accounting, and financial reporting. Review work completed by junior team members, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Mentor, train, and support junior staff, encouraging their technical and professional development.
