Senior Accountant Cambridge £38,000 - £47,000A well-established and growing firm of Chartered Accountants based in Cambridge is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Business Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced practice professional to take ownership of a varied client portfolio within a supportive, partner-led environment. The role will involve a strong mix of accounts, tax, and advisory work, with real client exposure and progression opportunities as the firm continues to expand.Role ResponsibilitiesManaging a mixed portfolio of owner-managed business clients.Acting as the primary day-to-day contact for clients.Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts under FRS 105 and FRS 102 (Section 1A).Preparing and reviewing management accounts.Preparing and reviewing corporation tax computations and CT600s.Reviewing VAT returns and advising on VAT compliance.Working extensively with IRIS and Xero.Supporting client onboarding onto Xero.Reviewing work prepared by junior team members and providing on-the-job guidance.Supporting with Self Assessment and Partnership tax returns.Supporting MTD filing deadlines for ITSA.Preparing and reviewing capital allowance claims (desirable).Personal RequirementsACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent).3-6 years'' experience in a UK accountancy practice.Strong technical knowledge of accounts and corporation tax.Strong working knowledge of IRIS and Xero.Excellent communication and client-facing skills.High attention to ..... full job details .....
