Senior AccountantPackage: 35,000 to 50,000 per annum (dependent on experience) Working Hours: Full-time, Hybrid (1 to 2 days working from home) Location: DudleyFollowing a period of exceptional growth, a highly successful and rapidly expanding family-run accountancy practice is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Accountant. Working alongside a supportive team of around 16 staff and a dedicated bookkeeping function, this role will take lead responsibility for statutory accounts preparation, tax compliance, and managing a varied portfolio of clients.Key Responsibilities Client Portfolio Management: Serve as the main point of contact for a diverse portfolio of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and limited companies. Statutory Accounts: Prepare complex year-end financial statements and statutory accounts compliant with relevant accounting standards (e.g., FRS 102 / FRS 105). Management Accounting: Produce and deliver monthly or quarterly management accounts, providing meaningful commentary and key performance metrics to clients. Advisory and Planning: Deliver proactive financial guidance, remuneration planning, and cash flow forecasting to assist business owners. Mentorship: Review work completed by junior accountants and offer technical guidance to support team development.Candidate Requirements Practice Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of recent experience working within a UK accountancy practice.
