Senior Accountant / Audit Senior

My client is a rapidly expanding, acquisitive accountancy firm providing tailored accounting, audit, and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of SMEs, owner-managed businesses, and High Net Worth individuals. They are now looking to recruit a Senior Accountant / Audit Senior for a varied role split approximately 50% accounting and 50% audit work.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage audit assignments from planning through to completion
• Prepare statutory accounts for a range of clients (limited companies, partnerships, sole traders)
• Review work prepared by junior staff and provide guidance and mentorship
• Liaise directly with clients, building and maintaining strong relationships
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting and auditing standards
• Assist with corporation tax computations and returns

Requirements

• ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
• Demonstrable experience in practice, including audit
• Strong technical knowledge of FRS 102 and auditing standards
• Experience managing audit assignments and leading small teams
• Experience working with SMEs and owner-managed businesses
• Exposure to cloud accounting systems and digital tools
• Interest in business advisory and client relationship development
