Senior Accountant Location: Ulverston Salary: £50,000 + benefits Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday The Role An established and growing organisation is looking to appoint a Senior Accountant to join its finance function at an important stage of development. This is a broad, hands-on accounting position suited to a technically capable finance professional who enjoys taking ownership of financial control, reporting and compliance. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing robust processes and controls as the business expands and moves towards its first statutory audit under a new group structure. Reporting to the Head of Finance and Administration, you will work closely with colleagues across finance and the wider business, ensuring the accuracy of financial information while helping to improve the way the finance function operates. The role offers an excellent opportunity to make a tangible impact within a growing organisation, with scope to contribute to wider finance and business improvement initiatives. Key Areas of Responsibility Financial Accounting and Control Manage core financial control activities across a number of group companies. Complete and oversee bank, balance sheet, general ledger and intercompany reconciliations. Manage accruals, prepayments and other month-end accounting adjustments.
