Supply Desk are working in partnership with an inclusive and nurturing SEMH school in Chatham, seeking a resilient, calm, and approachable individual to join their team as a SEND/SEMH Teacher. This opportunity is open to both qualified and unqualified teachers who have the right experience, attitude, and ability to support and lead secondary-aged students with a range of needs.

The ideal candidate will:


  • Have experience working with children and young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and/or Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • Be confident in leading a class and managing behaviour in a calm, firm, and consistent way.
  • Have ideally taught Functional Skills Entry Level English and Maths, or delivered practical subjects to small groups.
  • Be able to build trusting relationships with students, many of whom come from vulnerable or challenging backgrounds.
  • Be flexible and open-minded, working closely with support staff and other professionals to meet pupilsandrsquo; individual needs.
  • Be committed to helping every student feel valued, supported, and successful.
