Are you an experienced and passionate teacher with a commitment to supporting pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? We are seeking a SENDCo / Head of Access to Learning Faculty to lead and coordinate provision, ensuring every student is supported to reach their potential.

This is a senior role with both strategic and operational responsibilities, offering the opportunity to make a significant difference to the lives of young people in a large, vibrant secondary school.

This is a mixed, non-selective 11-16 secondary school with over 1,600 pupils. The Role - SENDCo / Head of Access to Learning Faculty
As SENDCo, you will:

• Lead the strategic development of the school''s SEN policy and provision
• Coordinate day-to-day provision for pupils with SEND or a disability
• Provide professional guidance to colleagues, parents, carers, and external agencies
• Monitor and evaluate the quality of provision, ensuring inclusion across the school community
• Oversee alternative learning provision and the effective deployment of support staff
• Work closely with the leadership team to drive whole-school improvement and promote an inclusive ethos

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Significant experience working with pupils with SEND
• Knowledge of SEN policy, practice, and statutory requirements
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
