SEND Teaching Assistants Needed - Hackney | £100-£130

Principal Education is seeking passionate, patient and resilient SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils across secondary schools in Hackney. You’ll provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with a range of SEND needs, helping them access learning, manage challenges and build confidence and independence.

The role:

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND
• Support pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, MLD and communication needs
• Assist with learning, emotional regulation and behaviour
• Work alongside teachers to create an inclusive classroom
• Encourage pupils to develop confidence and independence

What you MUST demonstrate:

• Right to work in the UK
• Experience working with children or young people, particularly SEND
• Patience, empathy and resilience
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• Flexibility and adaptability
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
• Overseas police clearance if you’ve lived abroad for 6+ months in the last 5 years
• Based in Hackney or within a commutable distance

Pay and benefits:

• £100–£130 per day, depending on experience
