Are you a teaching assistant with an interest in special education needs looking for opportunities in Rochdale?Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant.This is a temporary full-time long-term supply role for a teaching assistant from September 2026.The RoleSEND Teaching Assistant at special needs school in RochdaleFive days a week 8.30am to 3.30pmSupporting pupils with Autism, Learning Difficulties, Sensory and Communication Needs.Working in small groups and 1:1.Working collaboratively with the class teacher and other Teaching Assistants.Managing emotions and behaviour so that teacher can focus on learning.Supporting the class teacher in the implementation and progress of Individual Education Plans.Liaising the outside professionals and parents when required.Reporting on progress and incidents.While an experienced SEND teaching assistant is preferred, the school are happy to consider applications from teaching assistants with experience of working with children with SEND in mainstream primary or secondary schools.
