SEND Teaching assistant
An inclusive two-form entry community school, who work together to create a caring, vibrant environment in which every pupil can thrive are seeking to appoint an experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a long-term post commencing Summer 2, 1st June 2026 32.5 hours per week, term time only Key Responsibilities: Support teaching across the school Personal care (when needed) Support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including EHCP identified needs Work with individuals and small groups to deliver targeted learning and intervention programmes Assist the Class Teacher in the preparing and adapting learning activities Be an integral part of the support team Promote positive behaviour and inclusion, support pupil s social and emotional development Deliver personal care, where required, in line with school policies You Will Have: A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent Understanding of the standards expected for Teaching Assistants and undertake any training relevant to the position Proven experience of working with pupils with SEN in a primary school setting and have good knowledge of a range of SEN Experience of working with primary aged children Strong communication and teamwork skills A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupils wellbeing This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment.
