Salary: £90 - £120 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND setting in Handsworth supporting primary-aged pupils with Autism / ASD. The setting provides a supportive and structured environment where pupils receive personalised support to help them develop their confidence, communication and independence.

The setting is looking to appoint SEND Teaching Assistants for day-to-day and long-term opportunities, with an immediate start. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will provide classroom and individual support, adapt their approach to meet individual needs and work closely with teaching staff to help pupils access learning.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND

• Experience supporting pupils with Autism / ASD

• Experience working with primary-aged pupils

• Confidence supporting pupils with additional needs

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
