SEND Teaching Assistant

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a Primary School in Rotherham that is looking to welcome a Teaching Assistant to their team. The school is seeking someone who can provide effective and inclusive support to primary-aged pupils, helping them feel confident and engaged in their learning.

The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant on a temporary, full-time basis from September. The successful Teaching Assistant will support pupils across the primary age range, including children with SEND, working alongside the class teacher to support learning, engagement and individual needs.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children with SEND
• Experience supporting primary-aged pupils
• A good understanding of how to support children with additional needs
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach
• A positive attitude and willingness to get involved
