SEND Teaching Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team to work in schools across Sunderland. This role involves working closely with pupils who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), providing tailored support to help them access learning and achieve their full potential. You may be supporting students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, including those with autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, or social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SENDAssist the class teacher in delivering differentiated lessonsImplement Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)Support pupils'' emotional regulation and behaviour managementEncourage independence and positive engagement in learningMonitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to staff RequirementsExperience working with children or young people with SEND (school or care setting)A patient, empathetic, and resilient approachStrong communication and teamwork skillsA genuine passion for supporting children with additional needsRelevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential What We OfferA welcoming and inclusive school environmentOngoing training and professional development opportunitiesSupportive leadership and experienced staff teamOpportunity to make a meaningful difference in pupils'' livesHow to Apply Please submit your CV along with a cover letter ..... full job details .....
