SEND Teaching Assistant - Primary SchoolClacton-on-Sea, EssexStart: Immediately after October Half TermFull Time Monday-Friday 5 Days Per WeekPrimary School - 95- 100 per daySimply Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Clacton-on-Sea to recruit an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately after the October half term.This is a full-time position working five days per week, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including children who may display challenging behaviour. Previous experience supporting children with behavioural needs is essential, whether gained within a mainstream school, SEND setting, alternative provision or another relevant education and training environment.The RoleAs a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers, the SENCO and other support staff to ensure pupils with additional needs are able to access learning, develop their independence and make positive academic, social and emotional progress.Your responsibilities will include:Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEND.Supporting children who display challenging or dysregulated behaviour.Using positive behaviour-management and de-escalation strategies.Supporting pupils with needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH and communication difficulties.Helping pupils regulate their emotions and develop positive coping strategies.Supporting children to access classroom activities and adapting resources ..... full job details .....
