Location: Pontefract / Featherstone area Wakefield Role: Full Time Monday Friday Term Time Only Start: ASAP Contract: Long Term Potential Permanent RolePK Education are recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to support students with autism spectrum disorder within a specialist resource provision attached to a mainstream secondary school in the Pontefract area.This is an excellent opportunity to support pupils who access learning both within the specialist provision and mainstream classroom settings.The RoleYou will support secondary age students with Autism and additional learning needs, helping them engage with their education and develop independence.Your responsibilities will include: Supporting students within the resource provisionAssisting pupils when integrating into mainstream lessonsProviding 1:1 and small group supportEncouraging confidence, independence and engagementSupporting behaviour and emotional regulation strategies The Ideal CandidateWe are looking for individuals who: Have experience working with SEND / Autism / SEMHAre confident supporting secondary age studentsHave strong communication and relationship-building skillsHave experience in education, youth work, coaching, care or support rolesAre passionate about helping young people succeed What PK Education Can Offer Long-term full-time placementOpportunity for temp to permanent employmentCompetitive rates of payOngoing support from a SEND specialist ..... full job details .....
