SEND Teaching Assistant

A highly supportive and inclusive primary school in Camden is looking to appoint a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their specialist ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) Unit. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a well-resourced setting with excellent staff support and strong leadership.

• Full-time SEND Teaching Assistant within a specialist ASD provision
• Supporting pupils with autism, helping them access learning and develop key life skills
• Working closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and external professionals
• Providing both 1:1 and small group support
• Starting ASAP through to the end of the academic year (July), with a strong possibility of continuing in September

• A well-established and well-resourced ASD unit
• Excellent support from experienced SEN staff and leadership
• Ongoing training and development opportunities
• A collaborative and welcoming team environment
• Clear structures and routines that support both staff and pupils

• Experience working with children with ASD or additional needs (school or care setting)
• Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Proactive and adaptable in a classroom environment
• Passionate about supporting children with SEND to reach their full potential
