SEND Teaching Assistant Primary

Aspire People are recruiting SEND Teaching Assistants to work within primary schools across Didsbury and the surrounding area.We work in partnership with a range of local primary schools, including maintained community schools and schools within supportive Multi-Academy Trusts, who are looking for committed individuals to provide long-term support for pupils with additional needs and barriers to learning.These are full-time, long-term positions, typically continuing for the duration of the academic year, giving you the opportunity to become a consistent part of the school community and make a genuine difference to the pupils you support.The RoleYou could be working 1:1, with small groups or providing additional support within the classroom, depending on the needs of identified pupils. Pupils may have needs including:Autism / ASDSocial, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needsADHDSpeech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)Emotional regulation difficultiesWider barriers to learning and engagementYour role will be centred around helping pupils access learning, build confidence and independence and reach their true potential. This could include supporting:Engagement and participation within the classroomAttainment gaps through targeted 1:1 and small-group workCommunication and interactionEmotional regulation and positive behaviourConfidence, independence and relationships with educationAccess to learning through adapted activities and individualised supportYou will work ..... full job details .....
