SEND Teaching Assistant (Personal Care)

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a SEND school in Leicester LE3 , supporting with their recruitment for a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Learning Support Assistant / SEND LSA.The setting is centred on pupil s development, as well as an intrinsic desire to make progress both academically and with their own emotional, social and behavioural skills.The school is seeking a passionate team player to take on this short-term role, although there is potential for this to become a long-term placement for the right SEND Learning Support Assistant / SEND LSA. The successful SEND Learning Support Assistant / LSA will bring a new dimension and skill set to this role, be keen to develop their own skills to adapt to the children s individual needs and have a positive impact on the wider school.You must be comfortable and confident in providing Personal Care to our service users.The ideal SEN TA / Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant should have the following: Level 2 or 3 qualified and/or a minimum of 6 months experience in an educational establishmentA calm, patient and caring personalExperience with personal care Good communication skillsA good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelinesExperience in working with supporting students in their education on a 1:1 and a small group basis Successful applicants will be required to complete an enhanced Child and Adult DBS disclosure and provide at least 2 references.In return for the above you can ..... full job details .....
