Then we want to hear from you.We are recruiting for the following position:SEND Teaching AssistantBarking and Dagenham based SEND schoolSupporting SEND students with a wide variety of needsSeptember 2026 start£550.00 per weekOur client school is based in Barking and Dagenham. Students are aged from 4-16 and have a variety of complex needs. These needs include: Moderate Learning Difficulties, Severe Learning Difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Conditions, Communication Disorder and Profound and Multiple leaning difficulties. All students have an Education Health Care Plan and they require skilled and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to help put these plans into action.What will you be doing in a typical day?Supporting SEND students in accessing the curriculumTaking responsibility for personal care duties as and when requiredSupervising SEND students both inside and outside the classroom; assisting with break times, lunch times and trips as well as extra-curricular activitiesUsing positive strategies and good behaviour management to ensure the safety and wellbeing of studentsWorking closely with class teachers and other professionals towards achieving the best outcomes for SEND studentsWhat skills would serve you well in this role?The most important skill is a positive mindset and a passion for supporting SEND students; the school will train you as part of the roleExperience ..... full job details .....
