Location: Derby City Centre, DE1 - easily commutable from Normanton, Chaddesden, Alvaston, Littleover and Mackworth Pay: 110- 125 per day Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Full-time, long-term temporary with potential for a permanent opportunityLong Term Futures is looking for an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Derby City Centre.This position would suit someone who already has a strong background supporting children with additional needs and is looking for a role where they can make a genuine, long-term impact. You will work with pupils who require additional support to access learning, manage emotions, develop communication skills and become increasingly independent within the school environment.About the RoleYour responsibilities will include:Providing tailored 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SENDSupporting children with needs including Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH and Speech and Language difficultiesAdapting classroom activities and resources to meet individual learning needsSupporting pupils working towards targets outlined within their EHCPsHelping children develop communication, social interaction and independenceSupporting pupils with sensory and emotional regulationUsing positive behaviour strategies to maintain engagement and reduce barriers to learningDelivering targeted interventions under the direction of teaching staffProviding consistency during transitions, changes in routine and less structured ..... full job details .....
