This role involves supporting pupils with Autism, non-verbal communication needs and SEMH, helping them access learning in a safe, structured and nurturing environment.This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive and experienced team, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position.The RoleProvide tailored 1:1 and small group support within the school''s SEN HubSupport pupils with Autism (including non-verbal pupils) and SEMH needsUse visual strategies, PECS, Makaton and communication aids where appropriatePromote emotional regulation, independence and positive behaviourWork closely with the class teacher, SENCO and external professionalsHelp create a calm, engaging and inclusive learning environmentWhat We''re Looking ForLevel 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification (or equivalent)Previous experience supporting children with ASD, non-verbal communication needs and/or SEMHKnowledge of PECS, Makaton or other communication strategies is desirableA calm, patient and resilient approachStrong communication skills and the ability ..... full job details .....
