SEND Teaching Assistant LIVERPOOL

The Role:

• Supporting pupils with a range of SEND and complex needs
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support
• Supporting communication, emotional regulation and social development
• Implementing individualised learning and support plans
• Using positive behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques
• Supporting pupils to engage with learning and develop independence
• Working closely with teachers and other professionals to provide consistent support
• Creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND
• Experience supporting Autism, ADHD, SEMH, challenging behaviour or complex needs is desirable
• Calm, patient and resilient approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Confident managing challenging situations
• Passionate about supporting children with additional needs
• Able to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
• Team player with a proactive and adaptable approach
