Your new companyHays Education is working in partnership with a number of inclusive and supportive secondary schools across London. Due to increasing demand for specialist support, we are seeking dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants with experience supporting pupils with ADHD and/or Autism (ASD).Your new roleAs a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with additional needs to access the curriculum and thrive within a secondary school environment.This role will involve both 1:1 support and working with small groups, helping students manage their learning, behaviour, and emotional needs.Your responsibilities will include:Supporting students with ADHD and/or ASD in lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4Implementing strategies to support attention, engagement, and emotional regulationAssisting with differentiated learning activities tailored to individual needsSupporting behaviour management using positive and consistent approachesPromoting a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environmentWorking closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to support student progressWhat you''ll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you will:Have experience supporting young people with ADHD and/or Autism (ASD)Be patient, resilient, and empathetic in your approachDemonstrate strong behaviour management and de-escalation skillsHave excellent communication and relationship-building abilitiesBe adaptable and confident working in a secondary school ..... full job details .....
