Empowering Learning Ltd is seeking outstanding SEND Teaching Assistants to join an exceptional specialist provision in Camden. We are looking for enthusiastic, proactive individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with complex learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD).

The setting caters for pupils aged 4-19 and is recognised for its innovative, research-led approach to SEND education. It places a strong emphasis on high-quality teaching and learning, ensuring every pupil has the opportunity to achieve their full potential. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students both academically and socially while promoting an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

To be successful for this role you must:

  • Bring passion, enthusiasm, and a genuine desire to work within SEND education.
  • Have experience supporting children or adults with SEND, particularly Autism, SLD, PMLD, or complex learning needs.
  • Have experience working within education, care, or support settings.
  • Be patient, adaptable, and committed to helping every pupil reach their potential.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to support student progress.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
  • Assisting pupils with learning, communication, and personal development.
  • Supporting positive behaviour and promoting independence.
  • Supervising students during classroom activities, breaktimes, and educational visits.
  • Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and adapting learning resources where required.
