SEND Teaching Assistant - Derby (DE23) - ASAP Start
Pay: -110 - -120 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Temporary / Long-term (with potential for future permanent opportunity or extension)

We are currently recruiting for a caring, enthusiastic, and reliable SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in the Derby DE23 area for an immediate start.

This role is ideal for someone with experience working with children or individuals who have transferable skills from care, support work, youth work, coaching, or similar backgrounds.

• Supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
• Working 1:1 and in small groups within the classroom
• Helping pupils remain engaged and focused during lessons
• Supporting emotional, social, and behavioural development
• Creating a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
• Working closely with teachers and other support staff

• Experience working with children is preferred
• Transferable skills from care/support roles will also be considered
• Patient, calm, and understanding nature
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (UDS) preferred
  OR willingness to pay for a new DBS

• Maintain professionalism at all times
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of children
• Be reliable, punctual, and proactive
• Follow school policies and procedures
• Support children with both educational and emotional needs
