KS2 SEND Teaching Assistant
Pay: -13.68 - -16.00 per hour (depending on experience and role type)
Empowering Learning is recruiting a dedicated KS2 Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a Primary Academy in Ashton-under-Lyne (Tameside). Role responsibilities:
Supporting KS2 pupils with SEND (including ASD, ADHD, and additional learning needs)
Providing 1:1 and small group interventions to raise attainment and engagement
Assisting with classroom organisation, lesson delivery, and behaviour support
Delivering tailored support plans in collaboration with SENCO and teachers
Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive behaviour in pupils
Requirements for Registration:
Previous experience supporting children with SEND in a school setting desirable
TA qualification (e.g. CACHE/NVQ Level 2/3) or equivalent experience
Knowledge of strategies for supporting children with ASD, ADHD, or SEMH needs advantageous
Minimum Level 2 English & Maths (or equivalent)
Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply)
Right to work in the UK
Two professional references covering the last 2 years
