KS2 SEND Teaching Assistant

Pay: -13.68 - -16.00 per hour (depending on experience and role type)

Empowering Learning is recruiting a dedicated KS2 Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a Primary Academy in Ashton-under-Lyne (Tameside). Role responsibilities:

• Supporting KS2 pupils with SEND (including ASD, ADHD, and additional learning needs)

• Providing 1:1 and small group interventions to raise attainment and engagement

• Assisting with classroom organisation, lesson delivery, and behaviour support

• Delivering tailored support plans in collaboration with SENCO and teachers

• Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive behaviour in pupils

Requirements for Registration:

• Previous experience supporting children with SEND in a school setting desirable

• TA qualification (e.g. CACHE/NVQ Level 2/3) or equivalent experience

• Knowledge of strategies for supporting children with ASD, ADHD, or SEMH needs advantageous

• Minimum Level 2 English & Maths (or equivalent)

• Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply)

• Right to work in the UK

• Two professional references covering the last 2 years
