Are you passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to achieve their potential? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in South Manchester.
This role will initially be offered on a 12-week temporary contract via our agency, with the exciting opportunity to move onto a permanent school contract for the right candidate.
The Role:
Supporting students with a range of SEND needs (including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties).
Providing one-to-one and small group support to help pupils access the curriculum.
Working closely with teachers and the SENDCo to implement tailored support strategies.
Promoting independence, confidence, and engagement in learning.
Assisting with classroom management and creating a positive learning environment.

Experience supporting children or young people with SEND (school or care settings considered).
A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of different learners.
