A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Halifax is seeking a dedicated and experienced Support Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a Year 3 pupil who has ADHD and Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD).

About the Role:

This rewarding role involves working closely with a bright and engaging child who requires:

• Personal care support
• Help with emotional regulation
• Tailored academic guidance, primarily working at a Year 1 curriculum level

You will be an integral part of the school''s SEND provision, helping to provide consistency, build positive relationships, and create a supportive environment where the pupil can thrive.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience working with SEND children, particularly those with ADHD and/or FASD
• Strong understanding of phonic teaching and the ability to support early literacy development
• A calm, nurturing, and patient approach
• Confidence in managing behaviour in a positive and proactive way
• A genuine passion for inclusion and supporting children to reach their full potential
