Do you have the patience and resilience to support pupils with additional needs and help them overcome barriers to learning? Cover People are recruiting an enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant for a special needs primary school in Widnes, supporting KS2 pupils with Autism and Complex Needs. You ll provide tailored classroom and individual support, helping pupils develop confidence, independence and positive relationships. The Role: Support KS2 pupils with Autism and Complex Needs in the classroom and throughout the school day. Provide 1:1 and small-group support, adapting activities and learning to meet individual needs. Build positive relationships with pupils and help them develop confidence, communication and independence. Support pupils who may display challenging behaviours, remaining calm, patient and consistent. Use positive reinforcement and appropriate strategies to encourage engagement and participation.
