SEND Teaching Assistant

Clockwork Education have been approached by a lovely, welcoming school in Peterlee to assist them in finding a SEND teaching assistant to support them in Reception. The role is to start ASAP and will be on an ongoing basis. 

The role is to work one to one with a child with a variety of needs and the school require someone who can commit to supporting the child on a long term basis. 

Responsibilities

• Supporting a Reception child with SEND needs  
• Extra support during lessons, with feeding and self care
• Working independently with one child
• To use own initiative and take the lead

Requirements

• Confident and experienced in working with a child on a one to one basis 
• Level 2 Qualification
• Provide 2 references, preferably from an educational background
• To hold or put in process an enhanced DBS disclosure
