Prospero Teaching are seeking a caring and committed SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Birkenhead. The school is looking for an enthusiastic individual who can provide high-quality support to pupils with additional needs and help them thrive within a mainstream classroom environment.As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the wider school team to provide personalised support for pupils who require additional assistance with their learning, communication, behaviour or social development. The role will involve supporting pupils both on a 1:1 basis and within small groups.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SENDHelp pupils access the mainstream curriculum through differentiated activitiesSupport pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language and learning needsEncourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation and independenceDeliver targeted interventions and support learning activitiesBuild strong, trusting relationships with pupilsSupport pupils'' social, emotional and academic developmentWork closely with teachers, the SENCO and other professionalsRequirementsPrevious experience supporting children with SEND in a school, nursery or similar settingA strong understanding of inclusive education and individualised supportExperience with Autism, ADHD, SEMH or other additional needs is desirablePatient, calm and resilient approachExcellent communication and teamwork ..... full job details .....
