SEND Teaching Assistant - Aston
Aspire People are currently working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Aston to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
This long-term, ongoing role is to start immediately and involves working with children aged 4-11 years old in small groups and occasionally on a 1:1 basis. The successful candidate must be comfortable providing personal care when needed and committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have experience working with children with SEND (in school or similar setting)
* Be patient, nurturing, and adaptable
* Be comfortable and willing to assist with personal care needs
* Be available to start ASAP and commit to a long-term role
* Have (or be willing to obtain) a DBS on the update service
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting children with SEND in small group settings and 1:1
* Working closely with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver tailored support
* Assisting with personal care where required
* Helping to create a safe and engaging learning environment
