SEN Teaching Assistant - Learning DisabilitiesLocation: Birmingham (Central and North)Hours: Full Time Day-to-Day Supply Term Time OnlySalary: Competitive, dependent on experienceAre you passionate about supporting children with learning disabilities?We''re recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work in welcoming primary SEND schools across Birmingham (Central and North), supporting pupils with learning disabilities, Autism (ASC), ADHD and additional needs.We want to hear from:SEN/SEND Teaching AssistantsLearning Support Assistants (LSAs)Residential Care WorkersCare Workers (personal care/manual handling experience)Sports Coaches and Youth WorkersFormer Army, Police, Prison Officers, Probation Officers and FirefightersSecurity OfficersPsychology graduates/studentsSpeech and Language TherapistsYour RoleSupport pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.Help children access learning and achieve their EHCP outcomes.Support communication, independence and social development.Use positive behaviour management strategies.Assist with personal care where required.Work closely with teachers and other professionals.RequirementsPrevious experience supporting children, young people or vulnerable adults.Experience within education, care, residential care, youth work, coaching, healthcare or similar.Experience supporting SEND or learning disabilities is highly desirable.No training will be provided, so you must have relevant experience and be ready to start confidently.An Enhanced DBS on the ..... full job details .....
