As a SEND Teacher you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging learning experiences tailored to 11-19 year old students with Autism and SEMH. You will create a safe, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment that fosters both academic and personal growth. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, support staff, and parents, to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to student development. Key Responsibilities: Planning and Delivery: Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans and learning activities that cater to the diverse needs of students with MLD and SEMH. Utilise a range of teaching strategies and resources to engage and motivate students. Adapt the curriculum to meet individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Employ effective behaviour management strategies to create a positive and productive learning environment. Assessment and Monitoring: Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and identify areas for development. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student achievement. Provide regular feedback to students, parents, and the wider team. Contribute to the review and evaluation of EHCPs.
