TeacherActive is proud to be working with an outstanding OFSTED-rated SEND school in Kent, seeking to appoint a dedicated SEND Teacher. The school has a welcoming and inclusive ethos, placing the individual needs of every child at the heart of its provision while creating a nurturing environment where pupils are encouraged to thrive.

The school is looking to appoint a SEND Teacher on a long-term basis starting in September. The successful SEND Teacher will support pupils with Autism / ASD, SEMH, SLD and PMLD, delivering engaging lessons adapted to individual learning needs, providing personal care where required, demonstrating empathy and compassion, and using effective behaviour management strategies to support positive outcomes.

The successful SEND Teacher will have:

• QTS
• Experience teaching children and young people with additional needs including ASD, SEMH, SLD and PMLD
• Experience delivering personalised lessons to meet individual learning needs
• Confidence supporting pupils with personal care
• Excellent behaviour management skills
• A caring, patient and adaptable approach
