Salary: £145 - £230 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with an OFSTED Outstanding Special School in Bristol to recruit a SEND Teacher. This highly regarded provision supports pupils aged 3-19 with a diverse range of SEND and is expanding its provision through the opening of Briarwood South, creating exciting opportunities for dedicated teaching professionals.

The school is looking to appoint a SEND Teacher on a full-time, long-term basis. The successful SEND Teacher will work with pupils who have Autism, severe learning difficulties and behaviours that challenge, delivering engaging learning experiences that promote independence, life skills and positive outcomes while maintaining high expectations for every learner.

The successful SEND Teacher will have:

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
• Good knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
• Experience working with children and young people with SEND, particularly Autism and severe learning difficulties
• Excellent classroom practice with high aspirations for all pupils
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
• A positive, resourceful and flexible approach with strong teamwork skills
