Job Description:
- Deliver individualised and engaging learning programmes for pupils with SLD
- Use multi-sensory approaches and assistive technologies to support communication and learning
- Foster social, emotional, and life skills development alongside academic progress
- Work closely with therapists, support staff, and families to ensure a holistic approach
- Implement EHCP targets, monitor progress, and adapt strategies to meet diverse needs
- Promote a positive, inclusive classroom culture that celebrates every achievement
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have extensive experience teaching pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties in a SEND setting
- Be skilled in differentiation, communication strategies (e.g., PECS, Makaton), and sensory integration
- Understand complex needs, safeguarding protocols, and inclusive teaching practices
- Be passionate about special education, student wellbeing, and enabling every child to reach their potential
