The successful tutor will support the student with his Science learning throughout the full school year, helping him to build confidence, develop his subject knowledge and make progress towards his educational goals. The student has dyslexia, dyspraxia, ASD and demand-avoidant tendencies, so it is important that the tutor is able to take a flexible, low-pressure and individualised approach to learning. He responds well to having a sense of autonomy, so allowing him to make choices about where to begin and incorporating his interests into sessions will be particularly important.
